The problem: 

Lack of Transparency: Users may worry about transparency in the adoption process, such as hidden fees or undisclosed medical conditions of the animals.

Communication Barriers: Difficulty in contacting shelters or receiving timely responses to adoption inquiries can hinder the adoption process.


The Goal:

Responsive Communication: Aim to clear and quick respond to adoption inquiries and messages promptly.

Transparency in Adoption Process: Ensure that the adoption process and requirements are clearly outlined on the website, providing potential adopters with a transparent understanding of what to expect.

Generally speaking, many people prefer adopting animals from shelters or rescue organizations within their local area or city. Convenience plays a significant role in this decision, as it allows for easier visits to the shelter, getting to know the animal in person, and attending adoption events.

These user groups confirmed that the target demographic shows high interest in local friendly animal adoption website. However, additional research has shown that users may concern how each animal's background is unclear, and that result cause users to move forward with making decision.

Finding 1: Navigation = “Home”

Participants A: “When we decide the facility to visit, I will have my child to look up first.” = Child ages varies. Navigate was unclear for any age.

Finding 2: Each Animal’s Characteristic

Users most likely focuses on animals’ hair color, breed, or sex, however not many shelter or pet shop do not pay attention to their detail characteristic and background. At least the animal shelter aims to decrease the number of lost dogs or stray ones, the new adoption process have to pay attention to users decision making.

  1. Pictures need to be clear to attract users. Including multiple photos of animals on an animal shelter website is crucial for creating a strong emotional connection between potential adopters and the animals.

  2. The transparency and comprehensive understanding provided by multiple photos can significantly impact users' decision-making, ultimately leading to higher adoption rates and happier forever homes for shelter animals.

  3. An intuitive and easy-to-use website encourages users to explore available animals, adoption procedures, and resources. When potential adopters can quickly find the information they need, they are more likely to engage with the shelter's offerings.
